At the Good Friday liturgy, we reflect on the Passion and death of Jesus. Although this liturgy is the most somber of the entire Church year, we look to the cross not just as a sign of Crucifixion and death, but as a sign of the glory and victory over death because we know that the story does not end here. We remember how willingly Jesus put his life into his Father's hands and we recognize our need to place our lives into God's hands, as well.
